Sink Replacement, Remounting and Minor Repairs in Quartzite

Quartzite is hard, and cutting it after it is installed takes the same diamond tooling we use in the shop. If an undermount sink has come away from the slab, or you want a different basin, that work can be done on the countertop already in your kitchen rather than replacing the whole run. Minor repairs to installed quartzite, such as chips and seam separation, are part of the same work.

How Sink Swaps and Minor Repairs Work on Quartzite

• Measured Against the Existing Cutout: The new sink is templated against the opening you already have, so you know before we start whether it drops straight in or the cutout needs opening up.
• Cutout Adjustment: Where the new basin is larger, the opening is enlarged with wet diamond tooling and the edge is polished back to the finish on the rest of the stone.
• Undermount Remounting: A sink that has dropped is re-anchored to the underside of the slab with new hardware and support, then re-sealed.
• Minor Repairs: Small chips and seams that have opened up are repaired on the quartzite already in place. We do not resurface countertops or rebuild ones that are badly broken.
• Faucet and Accessory Holes: New openings drilled for a faucet, air switch, soap dispenser or hot-water tap when the fixtures change with the sink.
